Hello Everyone :)
Hope everyone had a great week and weekend :)
I lived up to my promise in my last post about reducing
exercise for this week from my usual 6-7 days to five days...in actual fact I
exercised for only 2 days…Why? *sexy pic alert :P )
I had a procedure on my toe last Monday and didn’t realize
it would stop all my usual exercise for about 2 weeks…The first four days were
horrific, I felt like I was turning into a big ball of jelly *no joke*. I was trying to convince myself that I could
be down at my weigh in on Friday because I had stuck to me dailies and weeklies
despite no exercise.
Of course I was in fact down on Friday….1lb YAY….it was
truly the boost I needed, I was over the moon and that positive energy has kept
with me since then. No weigh in’s for three weeks due to teaching experience
but I’m not worried…I am now 8lbs from goal and I can taste it so full steam
ahead, I’d love the gold card by Christmas :)
Thanks to not exercising since Sunday last, I’ve allowed
myself to fully rest up *even with the annoying niggle from my toe*. I’ve
caught up on many things that I needed to do like STUDY, my favourite tv shows
*thank you sky+* oh and also try on lots of my pretty dresses that I had during
my 2 years period of remaining within the same weight…result…? They are all
nearly too big for me now *a shame in one way as they are all beautiful* but
WOO!
I’ve been following the weight watchers plan for so long BUT
I never felt sure about F&H mainly for the whole ‘eat until you are
satisfied not full’ thing because well I eat until I’m stuffed and ready to
blow!
Soooooo I decided to set myself a new challenge for the week (starting
today Sunday) following the Filling & Healthy plan for a day or more.If I look
over my trackers I notice that 85% of my food choices *apart from treats* fall
under F&H which is fantastic as it means that I won’t be changing much at
all.
So today, was my first F&H day! I didn’t wake up until
early afternoon as I was exhausted after the week so my day started late. I put
aside 100ml skimmed milk for the day (F&H or 1PP)My breakfast was porridge
with stewed apples (all F&H or 3pp (30g oats). I then had a packet of blueberries
& a packet (yes a packet) of plums. Because of my late start I didn’t
technically have a lunch as I didn’t need or want one. My dinner consisted of 2
Gammon steak (F&H food or 4PP), a large plate of carrots & broccoli with
3tbsp of hot tomato salsa (0PP – 4tbsp onwards however has a PP value). I
decided I would like something nice (treat) so I had a packet of velvet crunch
(2PP taken from my weeklies) and to finish off my night I had another serving
of porridge and apples (F&H or 3PP)! I am totally stuffed from the day but
if I work out the pro points I used during the day it is quite low (13PP &
my daily allowance for non F&H days is 30PP).
What did I notice/learn from today? I’ve always know I like treats
during the day and a lot of the time half my dailies would go on such but I ate
them largely as they were more convenient than making something like a quick
tuna salad and so on. When I was faced with the choice of choosing a F&H
snack or having a treat in which I would have to use my weeklies on, I chose
the F&h snack. I am delighted I gave it a go today as this will allow me to
cut back on unnecessary ‘junk’ food and fill up on slow energy realising
filling foods which in turn will be better for many aspects such as body fat %
and so on!
I’m really looking forward to the coming weeks. I will be
unable to make a weigh in until October 25th due to commitments so I
plan to stick with F&H 90-100% of the time and hopefully I might get a nice
boost towards goal. 8lbs we gotta go!!
Oh and this is my lunch (and break) for tomorrow. Everything
apart from the crisps falls under F&H :)
It feels great have started my week on such a positive note!
I really feel that I can get to goal by Christmas or hopefully a little before.
In am excited about the future *cheesy or what*!
On that note I really felt I deserved to treat myself in
Limerick yesterday after college ;)
Oh and during the week my personalised t-shirt from a new
at-home based business in Cork ‘Stick it’ arrived!
How frickin’ cute is it! I chose the quote ‘It never gets
easier you just get better’ as I have gotten better at some many things,
jogging being the main choice! I’m already planning my next order! If anyone
wants to look up the business (which is co-run by a current weight watcher
member Amy O’ Riordan) search ‘Stick it’ on facebook.
I really hope the coming week will remain positive. I’m
really busy with my post grad and voluntary teaching at the moment which is
great as it means less time to think of food ;) And oh and 23 more days until I
see my boyfriend YAY (and it has been almost 4 weeks since I saw him – I swear
I’m not counting ;) :P ) So Gráinne girl it is time to get slimmer :D
I really hope everyone has been happy with their own journey
with weight watchers over the last few weeks. It is soo easy to let one little
thing throw you off but keep going, keep fighting. Hard work always pays off
just sometimes it likes to take it’s time. Onwards and downwards guys &
girls.
And remember.....
So make sure you do your best this week and you won't be disappointed with the result :)
Finally, I'm going to ask you guys for a little help :)
A close friend of mine, Miss Sarah Frances has made it into the final 30 of the RSVP magazine competition for Bloggers. She works so hard on her blog and her youtube channel and is very supportive to me when it comes to weight watchers.
All you need to do is follow this link http://www.rsvpmagazine.ie/rsvp-oasis-style-blogger-2013/ and find 'Sarah Frances' and scroll down to the bottom and click 'Like' or 'tweet' or vote! I would really appreciate it.
Until next time,
Gráinne :)
