Celebrate good time...COME ON

Hello everyone :)

Hope you’re all having a fantabulous week :)

Still feeling under the weather which is annoying as I literally feel like lounging on the couch all day BUT thankfully just because I want to doesn’t mean I am..I mentioned in my last post that I was going to treat myself to some personal training sessions in the run up to my trip to the Netherlands on Dec 9th (cannot wait), so I started the Little Black dress plan which is based over 28 days (but I’m doing it in 21 days) I have a total of 12 30min personal training sessions and 5 fitness classes. I’m no stranger to personal training but only do it every now and again due to the expense of it!
Had my first session last Friday (15th) and flying it as they’d say! I weighed in at 12st 1.4lbs (which was a relief as I felt that I may have been up since my last WW WI on the 8th (12st 1.5lbs) but thankfully not. I decided that I’d try and follow the guys diet plan for the 3 weeks (I’m tweaking tho to suit my own needs as if I have to stick with it I need to enjoy my food).

It is the usual protein with every meal, carbs coming from veg, good fats from a few almonds etc etc..The diet does work as I’ve tried it before (lost 1st in 4wks last nov…but then I stopped….wasn’t attending ww and gained 10lbs of that in 10 days so ya know). It is a great way to detox your body and also give junk a break…in saying that I cannot wait for the 3 weeks to be up so I can enjoy some porridge without feeling guilty (imagine ha).

Anyway so far so good, I’m breaking my ass with the training but typical, I started it 2 days before I had a social event (which is very rare with college these days). It was my dad’s 60th birthday last Friday and we went out for a family meal on the Saturday…Oh boy I made great choices at the table so much so I think the waitress wanted to stab me with a fork *so how is that cooked…no butter/cream….have you alternative desert choices….etc* :P but I felt awful afterwards as I had some *quite a lot* of cake etc and oh some wagon wheels and oh some penguins…but I worked it out and I think the weeklies covered it! But woke up Sunday morning felt annoyed but got on with it, stood on my own scales on Monday and THANK JEEBUS it didn’t cause any gain, I was down about 0.5lb which is thanks to the crazy exercise and also the great eating on the other days :)
This picture is my newest 'before and after', sorry the before should be more zoomed in but couldn't figure it out lol!
17st 8lb -----> 12st 1.5lbs....so far :)

Sorry I think I’m really just ranting away so I’ll change the subject!

Headed off to Limerick today with my mum in search of shoes and accessories for a wedding I have on Dec 29th but couldn’t find what I was looking for BUT….guess what happened….

Go on…GUESS…I dare ya… :P

I decided to grab a pair of size 12 jeans just to see if they would fit me *didn’t need jeans but needed to see* and SWEET JEEBUS they zipped and they fitted so much so I decided I had to buy them *I think I bought them just because they were a 12 :P*

Want to know what I did then…I went into two other shops and picked up size 12 jeans to try on just to make sure the first pair wasn’t wrong lol and woo they all fitted and zipped lol :)

The reason that this is such a big deal to me is because I have NEVER EVER fitted into size 12 jeans and like these were proper jeans not stretchy jegging stuff like OMFG.I have dresses and skirts in size 12 and skirts in a size 10 but like jeans NEVER wooo *Major NSV*. Anyway here is a pic from the fitting room *oh fellow weight watchers I was thinking of you guys and sharing my joy and also motivation*…also how cute is the jumper in the pic…I had to buy that also…and oh the shoes…think this will be my outfit for Christmas day lol!

Anyway yet again, another rant over..subject change time :P

I’ve found my next 10km challenge woo! The race is actually based in a little village only 4 miles from me and it is either a 7km or 10km route for December 26th *The turkey buster fun run* excited about it already as I really do have the running bug lol plus it’ll be a great way to work off the delicious foods consumed on the 25th :)

Have my WI with the personal training crowd AND weight watchers this Friday! Sounds silly but I am nervous about it, I think last weekend threw me abit with the eating as I hadn’t gone off the rails like that in a long time but I know it happens to the best of us! And I guess there is some pressure on me to hit a good number this week as the food plan and exercise really get you going and I’d love to get 2lbs off as it would get me into the 11st bracket but I think I need to stop thinking about it and just continue doing what I’m doing :)

Sorry for the really long rant but I had to share my size 12 joy lol!

Have a great week everyone AND remember....

Until next time,

Grá :)

Out with the old & in with the new...

Hello everyone :)

WOW it feels like forever since I last wrote a post!

October was a crazy busy month with college and just life in general!
Weight watcher wise – I’m now only 5.5lbs from goal yay :)

*Proud moment alert*

I received my 11th silver seven :)

In my last post I mentioned that I was going to give filling & healthy a try, well I did and I have to admit I love it! Okay I’m not following it all the time; I’m interchanging between the two approaches

What Filling & Healthy has done for me:
I’ve stopped eating bread *the occasional WW wrap is consumed*, the reason I stopped was the bread I used was Slimsters and after ringing up WW I was told for now it was not considered F&H as it hasn’t been tested yet….sooo I decided if I could only have WW bread and/or nimbles I wouldn’t bother…pretty good going for someone who could have up to 8 slices in one day don’t you think ;)
  • My consumption of sweet/savoury treats has dramatically decreased…Something about the fact you’d have to use your weeklies if you want anything that isn’t F&H makes the desire go away!

  • I’m feeling good in general, the less treats the better I feel, healthier!

  • My exercise has decreased in the last few weeks because I have been busy literally 24/7 but that is changing from next week onwards and I cannot wait…Back to business as the saying goes :)

Today (November 18th) I ran my first 10km race! Three months ago I didn’t run…I exercised loads but I could not for the life of me run…Today I feel fantastic and sooooo proud of myself! I hadn’t ran in two weeks, I have sinusitis but I did it and I did not stop I kept going, and I think I could have kept going for another 5km! I completed it in 80minutes 40seconds….yes okay it might not be a super fantastic time but hey this is my second run and the first time I have ran a distance of 10km (previously my longest distance was 9.2km) so I am on cloud nine! Extremely proud of myself and this is only the beginning :)

As a well deserved treat I’m booking in for some personal training classes for the next 3 weeks, commencing Monday. It’s my 23rd birthday on the 28th so I think I’m due an early present! I would love to have my gold card by Christmas; it would mean the world to me. I joined weight watchers in May 2010, if I could begin 2014 as a gold member it be magical!

Looking forward to the next few weeks exercise wise…on the 4th week I’m flying over to the Netherlands for 5 days to see my boyfriend so I would love to be a few lbs lighter by then, just so I can feel even better about myself (and oh so my boyfriend can remember how fabulous his girlfriend is :P)

Oh and I cannot forget December 7th, the night a group of weight watchers are heading to Tullamore for a night for well deserved fun and drinks and god only knows what else…cannot wait…definitely an incentive to be a little slimmer by then :)
Also ladies we'll remember this on the 7th and regret it on the 8th ;)

and maybe this too...:P

I just said it was about time I make a little update on Diva’s journey!
I promise I won’t leave it sooo long again,
Until next time,
Grá :)
